Welcome back to…
Hey folks, it’s the Supple Boiz, Ethan S. Parker and Griffin Sheridan here. We’re back to catch you up on all the latest developments in the thrilling world of KLC PRESS!
Boy, this week saw the beginning of quite a saga! We’ll jump right into it with where it all began…
STEGMAN TEACHES YOU HOW TO GET OUT OF A CREATIVE RUT!
Guess what: We host a weekly art instructional series here on KLC Press where you can submit your questions on social media using the hashtag #STEGMANSPEAKS and have those questions answered on the show by the man himself! Pretty cool, huh?
This week, Stegman talked through his approach to getting out of a creative rut! But that wasn’t all… This very special installment ended with a big ol’ CLIFFHANGER… Quite unusual for the series! You see, in the natural course of the conversation, a particular topic came up that opened a can of worms worthy of its very own post!
We’ll get into that in the next section, but as always you can check out this installment of STEGMAN SPEAKS by clicking the image below! Or the one above! Or HERE! We never want you to feel like you don’t have enough clicking options here at KLC Press.
RYAN’S LOST INDIE PITCH IS UNEARTHED!
After it came up in the previously mentioned episode of STEGMAN SPEAKS, your local Supple Boiz were absolutely flabbergasted.
Ryan dropped the bomb that there was a well-developed pitch for Image Comics long before the days of VANISH and THE SCHLUB, and it is a doozy.
PUDDIN’ HEAD is all the rage amongst the Chain Gang now, as we have all been completely mesmerized by the sparing details Stegman was willing to share… Including the fact that a certain comics writer by the name of Robert Kirkman convinced Ryan not to publish it!
You can find all the details for yourself in the post below, and there’s also a very important poll for you to take part in…
NEXT WEEK… MORE PUDDIN’ HEAD?
Well, that’s the question, isn’t it?!
Will there be more PUDDIN’ HEAD? We here in the KLC bullpen certainly hope so, but that’s all up to you Chain Gang! There is indeed more to be shown… So let us know if you need to see it!
There is a poll within the PUDDIN’ HEAD post where you can make your voice heard on this very important topic, and so far many of you have! Public opinion seems heavily weighted toward wanting MORE PUDDIN’ HEAD, and if that turns out to be the case by the end of the poll then we will certainly deliver!
And who knows? Maybe if there is enough enthusiasm, PUDDIN’ HEAD will live to see another day.
You can vote in the poll by clicking on the image of it above, or just right HERE!
NEMESIS RELOADED HAS ARRIVED IN COMIC SHOPS EVERYWHERE… AND ON STEGWORLD, OF COURSE!
IT’S FINALLY TIME!
The highly-anticipated NEMESIS RELOADED has landed in shops this week from Mark Millar and Jorge Jimenez, along with the unbelievably badass RYAN STEGMAN VARIANT COVER!
You can head down to your LCS now to snag your copy, or head on over to STEGWORLD to summon one in the mail! You’ll want to act quickly though, as it is limited to only 500 copies, and you can get yours signed by RYAN STEGMAN himself!
It’s a no-brainer!
THE LATEST IN STEGMAN MASTERPIECES!
As we’re sure you’re all very familiar with by now, we here at KLC Press love to keep you all posted on all the Stegman goodness dropping over at MARVEL Comics during the week, and the past two weeks have been absolutely full of bangers!
LEFT: Ryan’s insane Planet of the Apes variant cover for Miles Morales: Spider-Man #3!
MIDDLE: Yet another incredible Stegman cover for Sabretooth and the Exiles #5!
RIGHT: A beautiful recent sketch the Stegmeister banged out of a Venomized T-Rex!
BELOW: Finally, a gorgeous commission that serves as an homage to Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell from HIS GIRL FRIDAY! What a weird one! I love it!
COMING UP: SUPPLES! GUESTS! DREAMS COMING TRUE!
Next week we’ve got podcasts galore!
A very special guest will be joining us for a landmark episode of SUPPLE BOIZ, in which we’ll be chatting a little more about the upcoming “PROJECT 8”!
Plus, as we said, there may be more PUDDIN’ HEAD and I don’t know how you could want much more than that.
See you in a few, Chain Gang!
