Hey there! It’s your friends and lovers the Supple Boiz, and we’re back for your weekly recap! Another week of great KLC Press content has passed once again! We kicked off the week with another invaluable tutorial from the legendary Ryan Stegman, as on Thursday we dropped a new edition of his art instructional video series STEGMAN SPEAKS! In this series, Stegman takes your art questions from social media, and drops educational videos that show his process as he answers those questions! In this eleventh installment, Ryan takes a question from our buddy Pawel on Twitter, and walks us through how he avoids over-detailing in small panels! Make sure to submit your art questions for Ryan on social media with the hashtag #STEGMANSPEAKS, and it’ll likely be the subject of an upcoming video! Also, tweet to us with the hashtag #SUPPLESSPEAK if you want to know what products we use in our hair and/or beards. We won’t take questions of any other genre.
During the week, Ryan Stegman spent some downtime in Costa Rica. I only bring this up in the recap because I think it’s important to note that after a vacation spent in such a beautiful location, drinking thousand-dollar booze and being waited on day and night by an army of servants, Ryan will return with his drawing arm (the left one, yuck) recharged like never before. I imagine such a trip, drowning in luxury and riches beyond any of our wildest imaginings, will only invigorate Ryan to a whole new level upon his return. We’re about to see the best art of Ryan Stegman’s career, so everybody get excited. In other news, the Supple Boiz sold some plasma to make rent this month.
Then we wrapped up the week with one of our famous LIVESTREAMS where you, the wonderful KLC Press community, join Ryan Stegman and the Supples onscreen to hang out while Stegman whips up a beautiful sketch which is then raffled off to one lucky subscriber! This time, Ryan gave away a delightful BATMAN sketch while the Chain Gang chatted about everything from SDCC news to Ryan’s vasectomy. Oh, and we also raffled off a very special edition of Kenny Porter and Baldemar Rivas’ DC MECH! It was a great time with some great folks. Check out the stream, the sketch, and the winners below!
