At 41, our recaps will be hitting their midlife crisis any day now
Hey there! It’s your local newsletter enthusiasts the Supple Boiz, and we’re back for your weekly recap! Another week of great KLC Press content has passed once again! If you missed any of the action, take a look at klcpress.com and check out the past week’s newsletters to catch up! Let’s look back at the week:
We kicked off with some wise words from the Michigan-native and Covid-infected Ryan Stegman, as on Tuesday we dropped a new edition of his art instructional video series STEGMAN SPEAKS! In this series, Stegman takes your art questions from social media, and drops educational videos that show his process as he answers those questions! In this second installment, Ryan takes on a question from our good friend TheArtJedi on Twitter, walking through how his line weights and rendering have evolved over the years! Make sure to submit your art questions for Ryan on social media with the hashtag #STEGMANSPEAKS, and it’ll likely be the subject of an upcoming video! Just squeeze it in between all of your tweets about Top Gun: Maverick. Yeah I know it’s supposed to be great but I haven’t seen the first one and it’s difficult to blindly invest the time into watching TWO Top Gun movies when you’re not sure what the appeal is. BUT I’LL WATCH THEM. UGH.
And… Listen. This week was supposed to be capped off by one of our famous LIVESTREAMS. You know, one of the streams where you, the wonderful KLC Press community, join Ryan Stegman and the Supples onscreen to hang out while Stegman whips up a beautiful sketch which is then raffled off to one lucky subscriber. And we DID do a stream, and it was great, but there was no Ryan Stegman to be found. As previously mentioned, Ryan got hit with a heaping dose of Covid at Megacon, so instead we hung out with the always-wonderful KENNY PORTER, and talked to him about all his upcoming DC work, especially the highly-anticipated DC MECH! Check out the cover below, and make sure to tell your local comic shop to add it to your pull list! That’s how your local comic shop knows you’re cool.
CROSSOVER in yo FACE!
One last news tidbit… Monday is FOC (final order cutoff) for the CROSSOVER #1 3-D SPECIAL! This means it’s the last shot your local comic shop has to place their order before the number of copies to print is finalized at Image Comics. This means we need YOU, our wonderful subscribers, to call, text, email, or get right in front of your favorite comic store owner in person and PRE-ORDER your copy THIS WEEKEND! In case you need it, it’s DIAMOND CODE: APR220082
And yes, as an added bonus each issue is polybagged with an official pair of KLC PRESS CROSSOVER 3-D GLASSES. How f’n cool is that?! Make this a success so we can do more books like this… say… a VANISH 3-D Special maybe? let’s make it happen, folks. Here’s more info on the book:

I have yet to receive any merch from this subscription. Purchased your subscription the day I heard about it last year expecting exclusive books, shirts, etc. I love the Cates/Stegman team up but starting to wonder if it was a waste of money. I collect physical books, don't care much for this digital comic crap. Sorry for being blunt just expected more.
Guys an update on the physical books paid subscribers were promised would be cool. Just an idea on what to expect. We’ve all been feeling like we’re left in the dark about this.
