Welcome, one and all… To the Recap Zone.
Hey there! It’s your unwavering backup in this cruel world the Supple Boiz, and we’re back for your weekly recap! Another week of great KLC Press content has passed once again! If you missed any of the action, take a look at klcpress.com and check out the past week’s newsletters to catch up! Let’s look back at the week:
We kicked off this week with a VERY special presentation. Tuesday saw us release the very first LIVE SHOW the KLC Press crew ever performed, at C2E2 2020! In this previously unreleased episode, Donny Cates, Ryan Stegman, and the Supple Boiz (with help from the live audience) create a brand-new character sure to set the comics world on fire: GUN BACHELOR. It’s a great time and we were super happy to finally get it out into the world. Also included in the post was Mr. Stegman’s mortifying sketch of Gun Bachelor and his wife who is a gun! Wow Ryan, way to upset me!
Thursday was a BIG day for KLC Press as we finally released something we’ve been teasing for a good long while… The beginning of Ryan’s comic art instructional series STEGMAN SPEAKS! In this series, Stegman takes your art questions from social media, and drops educational videos that show his process as he answers those questions! The first one was a doozy, as Ryan talked rendering facial forms, lighting reference, and more. If you’re not a paid subscriber yet, definitely jump into one of our subscription tiers to get in on the action! Don’t you wanna know how to draw just like RYAN STEGMAN??? Of course you do, you’re only human. Submit your questions for this segment using the hashtag #STEGMANSPEAKS!
Unfortunately the Stegmaestro was not available for one of our famous livestreams this week, HOWEVER his beautiful works continued to be auctioned off on Whatnot this week on the ComicSketchArt page! Check them out HERE and make sure to follow Ryan HERE so that you too can get your mitts on some wondrous Stegman Originals. And speaking of Ryan being unavailable because he’s working like a mad dog…
It’s MEGACON TIME ONCE AGAIN, OH GOD
That’s right, next weekend Cates and Stegman (along with pals Ryan Ottley and Frank Tieri) will be struttin’ around those hallowed Megacon floors once more, and YOU can attend their essential MONSTERS AFTER DARK Special Event by grabbing tickets at this link right HERE! We’ll have the boys’ full Megacon schedule for you here next week, but for now grab those tickets!
EARHOLE / EYEBALL GOODIES
We’ll leave you with a couple of music videos to cap off that long week and get you rockin’ for a few days off! Since he’s been gushing about this new My Chemical Romance tune online, this one’s for you, Donny:
And then some good ol’ fashioned Pacific Northwest heaviness at a bizarro-world Chuck E. Cheese, from the wonderful boys of Red Fang:
And hey, here’s a bonus Red Fang video for ya… cuz… why not?
That’s about it! Thanks for joining us for another great week, and we’ll see you back here next week for more dreamy newsletters.
But in the meantime…
