We hope this recap finds you well 🫠
Hi again. It’s us: The Supple Boiz. What a week it has been at KLC PRESS! At least, we’re pretty sure it was. See, we are actually writing this recap on Tuesday because both of the aforementioned Supple Boiz will be busy for the rest of the week, attending the wedding of the century! That being the one between our very own Mr. Ethan S. Parker and his lovely fiancé.
“But the recap must come to pass!”
How right you are. So! We will be presenting the recap in the usual KLC fashion and just filling in the blanks with whatever we’re pretty sure happened this week.
LET’S RECAP!™
We started the week with a grand finale on our new series CHAINS AND THANGS, which explores the beginnings of KLC Press and VANISH. This finale saw the last in a six-part series that gave viewers a front row seat to Mr. Cates and Mr. Stegman breaking story and designing characters for a brand new idea. While the series documents the duo working on a previous idea, tentatively titled
BadOther Kidz, it’s easy to see the seeds for what will later become VANISH begin to grow in these synthesized livestreams.Did someone say they saw the cover for VANISH #3 and it was the coldest thing they had seen all fucking week and anyone who disagrees can get Zdarsky’d (to become devoid of dignity)? Yes, I do believe they did. Perhaps it was because we did drop the cover for VANISH #3 and even we’re still looking at it.
Then, how could anyone forget that big announcement we had on Wednesday. We announced that Ryan and Donny had been tapped by Sony Pictures to write and direct a Knull solo project. The film hasn’t found its star yet, but is said to center around a younger, sexier God of the Symbiotes and will explore the origins of the symbiote we’ve seen in the Tom Hardy lead Venom films! The film is set for release July 12th, 2024 and will be the first installment in the recently announced Sony Universe of Symbiote and Symbiote Adjacent Marvel Characters But Not Spider-Man Cinematic Universe, or the SUSSAMCBNSMCU for short. Cool! [John: Hey… what’re you guys talking about? When the hell did THIS happen?!]
And lastly, Ryan decided to host the livestream by himself and he died??? (idk we can come back to this one) [John: Way to stir shit up, guys.]
What a stellar week, full of events that almost certainly happened…anyway.
Before we leave, we wanted to share some songs for your weekend once again. Check out these KLC Press Approved Jams:
Griffin: “Magenta Mountain” - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
Ethan: “Killby Girl” - The Backseat Lovers
John: “Fairies Wear Boots” (Black Sabbath cover) - Brownout Presents: Brown Sabbath
And that about wraps it up, gang. Take a listen to those tracks and please keep the late Mr. Stegman in your mind this weekend.
But in the meantime…
