Hello! Ready for a recap? Wonderful.
Hey there! It’s your struggling faves the Supple Boiz, and we’re back for your weekly recap! Another week of great KLC Press content has passed once again! If you missed any of the action, take a look at klcpress.com and check out the past week’s newsletters to catch up! Let’s look back at the week:
We kicked off this week with a big update on a little comic called VANISH. Within, John J. Hill dropped some bits and pieces about how the project has been going, as well as some BRAND-NEW COLORED PREVIEW PAGES. This is not a drill. Just some insane, beautiful Stegman art, including the final art for the cover of Issue #2! If you haven’t yet taken a look at the color work by Sonia Oback, go ahead and treat your eyes, you deserve it. It’s called self-care.
We pulled the train into the station with one of our famous LIVESTREAMS where you, the wonderful KLC Press community, join Ryan Stegman and the Supples onscreen to hang out while Stegman whips up a beautiful sketch which is then raffled off to one lucky subscriber! This week we were joined by Chip Zdarsky (sorry) as Ryan worked up a mind-blowing MOON KNIGHT sketch! Check out the stream, the sketch, and its winner below!
Move over boys… hey folks, John J. Hill here to wrap up your week with some random video and audio treats. Throw on your headphones, kick back and blow off that last hour or two of work with some YouTube goodness. You deserve it!
FROM BEYOND trailer: 1980s goopy practical FX at its finest… another Lovecraft adaptation from the Re-Animator team!
MARVEL SUPER-HEROES 1960s cartoons - Times sure have changed! This was as high tech as it got back before comics became mainstream properties.
METAL & MONSTERS Episode 1 - Robert Englund, Don Dokken & more. METAL! HORROR! Gibson TV’s new web series ROCKS!
KAVINSKY - RENEGADE: This video is freakin’ awesome. Kavinsky’s great but the song’s a little more on the mellow side for my taste… but DAMN this video makes up for it!
CANDLEMASS - BEWITCHED: Utterly ridiculous, and I’m throwing this at you all purely for the laugh factor. Bad, bad, bad, bad but oh so much fun.
TOOL - SOBER: : And lastly, let’s cleanse our palate with a solid tune and music video. Back when MTV was good (and actually played music videos), this creepy ass stop motion short was as good as it got. A classic.
That’s about it! Thanks for joining us for another great week, and we’ll see you back here next week for more.
But in the meantime…
