We started the week off strong with a special post exclusively for our PAID subscribers, in which we revealed some exclusive covers for CROSSOVER #13! I’ve heard a rumor that there’s a cover that’s a super-special collaboration with a very special someone. I’ve also heard a rumor that you should definitely jump into one of our paid subscription tiers so that you don’t miss out on extra-cool, locked-down posts like this one. Everyone’s talking about it.
Next up, we here at KLC Press were DELIGHTED to finally drop the first new episode in many months of Donny and Megan’s podcast DEVIL’S ADVOCATES BOOK CLUB here on its new exclusive home, the KLC Press Substack. In this episode, the Book Club (including at least one local Supple) sits down to discuss Tini Howard and Gilbert Hernandez’s ASSASSINISTAS, as well as Matt Fraction and Steve Leiber’s SUPERMAN’S PAL JIMMY OLSEN! It’s a fantastic conversation about two fantastic books, on a fantastic Substack, currently being recapped by a fantastic boy.
Finally, the week featured a HUGE announcement… The film adaptation of GOD COUNTRY is coming soon to Netflix, from Legendary Entertainment! That’s right, Donny Cates and Geoff Shaw’s classic is headed to a TV near you, and directed by Sweet Tooth’s Jim Mickle! What do you think? Pretty good, right? It’s looking like we’ll have a record-breaking weekend with the latest Spidey flick! We’re all super excited to see it (not all of us are thrilled with going into a packed theater right now, but that’s a completely different story), and want to hear from you! Saw NWH last night. It was phenomenal! So many great moments big and small.
