To kick things off, our paid subscribers got a first look at THE ONE YOU FEED #2, namely the art for pages 1-8. It’s been a long time coming since the release of the first issue, and look: It’s new art by Dylan Burnett. C’mon. It’s gonna be the best. If you’re a free subscriber and you feel like you’re missing out… Not to rub it in but you ARE! There are monsters and swords and all the stuff you like! It’s in your best interest to check out Wednesday’s interview with VANISH colorist Sonia Oback! We’re all so excited to welcome her to the KLC Press team and so blown away by her work so far. In the interview she details her history as a colorist, as well as some of her process in developing VANISH! Sound dope? It is! This is also the first place you’ll get to see THREE whole VANISH pages totally colored! Sound dope still? Yeah, it STILL IS! It’s absolutely gorgeous work, so do yourself a favor and check it out. Speaking of “doing yourself a favor”…
Do yourself a favor and check out Thursday’s brand-new MINI episode of RYAN & DONNY’S HALF-ASSED SUBSTACK PODCAST! This episode serves as the first (and, frankly, probably last) installment of a miniseries titled “KLC Press Reviews Other People’s Substacks”, and we begin with a review of Chip Zdarsky’s newsletter. It’s funny, but it’s also pretty brutal. You’ll find that it’s quite a scathing review, and deservedly so as apparently Chip has just been lifting ideas wholesale from KLC Press. That doesn’t seem right to us. Also, this episode finally reveals what Ryan REALLY thinks about Chip’s body. Again, a scathing review. And speaking of “Chip’s body”…
Chip showed up with some minor nudity in our BIG SPECIAL FUNTIMES THURSDAY LIVESTREAM, in which Ryan does some sketching while he and the Supplez chat with KLC subscribers, and then the sketches are raffled away to those very same subscribers! It was a great time. Ryan drew Spawn, Charles Soule and Mark Brooks and Kenny Porter showed up, it was basically like a rave. And speaking of “raves”… You’ll find the raffle winners below! Not really rave-related, these are just people who won sketches (plus the awesome art as well!):
