Last week was Hulk Week, this week was REGULAR Week! Full of regular-themed posts!
Hey there! It’s your ancient ancestors the Supple Boiz, and we’re back for your weekly Friday recap! Another week of great KLC Press content has passed once again! If you missed any of the action, take a look at klcpress.com and check out the past week’s newsletters to catch up! Let’s look back at the week:
We kicked off Regular Week with a crowd favorite… VANISH pencils! You guys heard of this book VANISH? Looks pretty good. Particularly Pages 18-21, which our wonderful paid subscribers got a look at on Monday! As for our also wonderful FREE subscribers… Don’t you guys wanna see this VANISH art? You do, it’s dope. It’s got a spooky spidery (sexy?) monster man in it, so… That’s worth the $8 alone.
On Wednesday we dropped a brand-new installment of RYAN & DONNY’S HALF-ASSED SUBSTACK PODCAST (this time featuring your local Supples), in which we established the KLC PRESS COMIC CREATORS FIGHT CLUB! Donny and Ryan weighed in on which creators they could beat in a fight, who they would want backing them up, and who would win in a series of hypothetical battles. Check it out if you want to know who would win in a magic fight between Grant Morrison and Alan Moore, or if you’d just like to imagine Chip Zdarsky getting his ass beat.
While some of our COMPETITION Substacks might wind down and take it easy as the week comes to a close, KLC Press blew the world’s hair back on Thursday with the announcement of Ryan Stegman’s new collaboration with My Hero Academia! Ever heard of it?? Ryan drew an incredible new piece from the series (that a lucky fan will be able to get their hands on) and will also be doing a My Hero-themed livestream TOMORROW (Saturday, Nov. 6th)! You can find the details in our previous post (linked below). Don’t even have a joke about this because it’s just very cool!
Other Stacks to Keep an Eye On…
Here at KLC Press we’re big Kenny Porter fans. Did you know Mr. Porter has been killing it on his own Substack since August? He’s serving up great writing tips and insights into his own reading projects, as well as a powerful comic inspired by a difficult event in his childhood. That comic is called Crowbar, and you can find all that great stuff over HERE!
And for your viewing (and listening) pleasure…
A few goodies to keep you rockin’ through your weekend until the next newsletter rips through your inbox!
And that’s about it! Thanks for joining us for another great week and we’ll see you all on Monday for NORMAL Week! Just wait until you see the normal content we have planned for you.
But in the meantime…
SHARE THE LOVE!
Help spread the good word about everything KLC Press! The more folks we have in the community, the more we can offer you all and keep the train rolling. Don’t be stingy, let your friends know about all the cool kids you hang with.
HAVE YOU SUBSCRIBED?
We’re still tinkering around with things, but expect a ton of fantastic behind the scenes antics and other random garbage from your favorite comic heroes in the weeks and months to come.
