Hey folks. Supple Boiz, Ethan S. Parker and Griffin Sheridan here. Now, I know what youāre thinking. This is the KLC Press Substack, arenāt all of these posts inherently e-mail newsletters? How astute you are. While technically thatās true, it struck us here at KLC HQ that despite the multitude of content weāve delivered on this wonderful platform, weāve never sent out something that could strictly be called a newsletter. And hey, since newsletters have resurged as a piping hot new form of content recently, weād be remiss if we didnāt utilize the format in as many ways as possible to keep you up to date on all things KLC PRESS!
But what about the weekly recaps?
Good lord, donāt even worry about that. These newsletters will not only ensure you donāt miss a single scrap of KLC content from throughout the week, but youāll find all sorts of bonus goodies throughout as well.

Exactly. We hope for the CHAIN MAIL newsletter to be like the old Marvel Bullpen Bulletins: A place for updates, interaction, and community all in one. An intimate experience, where you can practically smell Ryan Stegman sweating away at his art desk as we speak.

OUR TWO NEW MYSTERY COMICS SERIES!
Well, first of all, our new series announcements received a lovely write-up over at Bleeding Cool, which you can check out through the links in the tweet below.
Weāll have much more to say about these in forthcoming CHAIN MAIL newsletters, but for now weāll just say that Mr. Stegman has been hard at work scripting his new series and collaborating with series artist TYRELL CANNON, and your friendly neighborhood SUPPLE BOIZ have been finalizing designs for our series which we hope to formally announce A.S.A.P.!

Oh heck yeah. On Wednesday we dropped another invaluable tutorial from the legendary Ryan Stegman, as we dropped a new edition of his art instructional video series STEGMAN SPEAKS! If youāre new here, this series finds Stegman taking YOUR art questions from social media, and dropping educational videos that show his process as he answers those questions! In this thirteenth installment, he walks us through a bit of his process as a COVER ARTIST, a woefully under explored topic in the comics world. Make sure to submit your art questions for Ryan on social media with the hashtag #STEGMANSPEAKS, and itāll likely be the subject of an upcoming video! TBH, I just discovered this was a thing, and I'm so glad I decided to sub to KLC. One thing I would really want to see is how a typical issue from something at KLC Press is made. I.e, drafting of the script, initial layouts for illustrations, coloring and lettering process, and final notes before the issue gets published. Things like that.
Please get more into the writing process and narrative choices.
