GOD COUNTRY film in the works!

Donny chimes in with his thoughts on the Netflix announcement

Well. This is just insane. After so many years of trying and failing and getting back up again and pitching and getting rejected and pitching again and flying to LA for meetings and bla bla bla...it's real. Legendary Entertainment (Watchmen, the Dark Knight trilogy, everything else you've ever loved) and Netflix (Yeah, again, everything good in this world) have come together to make GOD COUNTRY an honest to god real movie!! AND we have the INSANELY talented and visionary Jim Mickle (Sweet Tooth) on board to direct, AND holy shit you guys...they actually let ME write the screenplay!! ME!! Some idiot from a small town in central Texas best known for being the inspiration for King of the Hill! Me! I know....I'm just as shocked as you all are. 

Now, these things take time, and a million different things could go wrong at any second, but god willing (eh? eh?) in the near future we'll have some MORE awesome news to share (casting!) and then (FINGERS CROSSED!) I'll be writing these newsletters from the set of my movie with a life-sized movie prop of Valofax in my hand! 

This doesn't feel real. And I have OH so much more to talk to you guys about. But I'll save that for when we get to tell you more about this insane journey! Until then....well, what are you waiting for?! Go buy a bunch of GOD COUNTRY comics and get caught up on what is assuredly the HOTTEST COMIC IN THE WORLD!! 

Oh, and also, go buy CROSSOVER! As I've been told, a certain sentient sword plays a not-so-small part in that bananas story!
