We’ve got some big news for you today, Chain Gang!
In August, when we began YEAR 2 of KLC PRESS, we laid out our plans for everything you could expect over the course of the year. Chief among these plans: TWO BRAND-NEW MYSTERY COMICS SERIES.
One of the two mystery series has since been fully announced and revealed as THE SCHLUB. We’ve unveiled the entire dream team creating that series, as well as taken a look at both art and script pages.
Now…
As production ramps up on our second mystery series, and we approach the day when the project can be fully revealed, we are thrilled to bring you the VERY FIRST DETAILS on the excitement to come…

THE WRITERS!
ETHAN S. PARKER & GRIFFIN SHERIDAN
Oh, yes.
We’ve teased you all seemingly since the dawn of time, but now we can officially say:
KLC PRESS’ second series of 2023 is co-written by your very own Supple Boiz!(That’s us! We’re writing this!)
We have been hard at work for literal years now to get this project off the ground (as long-time listeners of our many shows may know), and it has evolved and grown in ways that have been absolutely thrilling.
We look forward to traversing the genres of horror and fantasy in a way that’s both exciting for readers and entirely different from the other books coming out of KLC PRESS.
This story is intensely personal to us, and we can’t wait to share it with you all.
But enough about us, let’s say hello to…
THE ARTIST!
BOB QUINN
In keeping with the KLC PRESS tradition of only producing the most beautiful books on the shelves, we have the great pleasure of having the one and only BOB QUINN lend his artistic talents to the series.
Bob had this to say about working on the project:
“On top of being the most supple of boys, Ethan and Griffin are awesome and came to me with one of the coolest stories I’ve seen in a long time. Great characters, great twists and turns, and I think you’re going to love it. It’s easily the best work I’ve ever done and I cannot wait to melt your brains with it.”
Bob isn’t kidding about it being his best work. The pages he is turning in are blowing our minds on a daily basis. He is one of the most talented comics artists working today, with his incredible work showing up in the likes of THOR (written by one Donny Cates!), KNIGHTS OF X, and ALLIGATOR LOKI!
But Bob won’t just be providing pencils for the series… He’ll also be inking and coloring the book! He’s a one-man art machine and we can’t wait to show you what he’s been cookin’ up!
As we said, Bob’s doing absolutely unbelievable work on the project as we speak, but while you wait for more to be revealed you can check out some of Bob’s beautiful MARVEL art below!
THE DESIGNER!
JOHN J. HILL
This one may not come as a surprise to any of you loyal Chain Gang members who have been paying attention, as this man is the powerhouse behind all things KLC PRESS and STEGWORLD, as well as the designer extraordinaire that makes books like VANISH and CROSSOVER absolutely explode off the shelves…
We’re beyond thrilled that JOHN J. HILL is lettering and designing this very exciting project.
When we asked John how he felt about being a part of the series, he said:
"Ethan and Griffin are hitting the ground running like seasoned comic biz vets with [TITLE REDACTED]. You don’t see a debut book come around too often that feels this solid. And watching Bob swerving and shifting the tone from page to page is bringing this tale to life in just the right way. Pretty damn impressive. It’s a joy seeing this all coming together, I can’t wait for this to hit shelves this coming year and see what folks think!"
When a book is designed by John, you know it’s going to be gorgeous, and we couldn’t be happier that he’s on board!

Now, we can’t tell you much more just yet. We can’t even announce the title.
But we can tell you that we’ve codenamed the series “PROJECT 8” for the time being, and we hope you enjoy the first-ever TEASER of this very special book…
Oh, man. This is all just the very tip of the iceberg! We can’t wait to share more with our KLC Press subscribers very, very soon.
