Hi. I was a member of the KLC substack for the first year and opted for the Vanish #1 comics under the subscription to be signed and sent to me in Australia. I was just wondering what the update on that happening is?

I guess my question would be knowing the International postage rates for exclusive items purchased through the new store as to whether subscribing again would be worth it. It might be great to get a discount on the book but if postage is 40USD+ then paying for the possible privilege might not be economic and I will just have to miss out.
We can’t figure out international shipping rates at this time, as we don’t know your location or what exactly our fulfillment methods will be just yet.
However, to clarify further, ANYONE, whether they are a free sub or paid sub, will be able to access the storefront. Paid subs this next year ($5 monthly OR $55 annual) will receive EARLY ACCESS and potential DISCOUNTS.
So if you want to be among the very first to be able to check out the merch we’ll be dropping on there, we think you’ll like the subscription.
Two projects pushed from this year, two new unannounced projects for year two. Only one project came to fruition this year. Sounds like a 5 year plan for subscribers.
It was certainly never our intention to focus primarily on one title in this first year. And it certainly is not our intention to lead people on in the hopes of them continuing to subscribe. We are determined to deliver folks exactly what is promised to them in this next year.
The simple truth, in regards to your concern, is that in the comics industry AND personal/professional lives, things change and that could mean some projects take longer to come to fruition than initially anticipated. We are humans, not machines after all.
As you can see there are a few people that think their $300 could have been used better. We were excited about 3 projects that you kept promoting. Then oh never mind, how about another variant of the one we actually could get done. Expectations were not managed well, good advice for the future.
We showed off as much preview material as possible on those other projects, that's where things stand at the moment. We actually went over more than 3 projects over the last 51 weeks.
I just changed my membership from GOAT to the new annual since it was going to auto-renew next week. Will I still be getting all the GOAT membership from Year 1 since we haven't gotten anything physical yet?
Yes! All annual and GOATs from year 1 will be receiving their physical books. Currently scheduled to be at the printer in early September, fulfillment in late September / early October.
it would be nice if you could put out a video explaining what we were supposed to receive according to our tiers original, what we can expect now. I don't what I'm paying for anymore it's convoluted.
It has some updates about Year One physical perks. The simple answer is, those who signed up for physical perks for Year One are STILL GOING TO RECEIVE THEM. We are figuring out fulfillment as we speak.
There are no physical perks formally through the Substack in Year Two, but the new storefront will have a bunch of great stuff everybody can purchase, and paid Year Two subs will get early access to those items as they become available.
Why won’t physical copies be out this year? Sounds like several issues will be out in stores before we get the physical copies if we want to wait for that……

Yeahhh… sadly I think you are right. Was thinking I’d get my physicals that were part of the perks so I could read them as they were released. Now I’m supposed to wait until…. Around at least issue #5-7 is out until I can read my “free” issue #1 physical? . Lesson learned I guess
Sorry to disappoint, Andy, but #1 will be begin shipping out to subscribers just before it’s released in stores. So you’ll have it about 6-7 months earlier than you’re suggesting. Between fulfillment and shipping time you should be getting it within a few weeks of the street date.
