Ryan Stegman Pitches FLOOD / Sketch winners!

Ryan is such a big fan of Donny and Megan’s upcoming project, FLOOD, that we thought it would be fun to have him pitch the series to Donny. How did he do? See for yourselves!….
Donny Cates: Ryan, the show notes here say that we're about to talk about FLOOD. I'm supposed to pitch Flood. But, I know that you're a really big fan of the book. So I thought, hey, why don't you pitch Flood?
Ryan Stegman: Alright? No problem.
Donny Cates: Thanks, man.
Ryan Stegman: First of all, as the title indicates, there's definitely water involved. Probably like biblical amounts of water, maybe a flood of some sort. And people live in the water. And they're amphibious...definitely amphibious.
Donny Cates: Mmm...?
Ryan Stegman: And knowing that you're writing it, they're very sad. They're sad people. And there's probably some love in there. A guy loves a girl. And they want to get out of the water. Because there's so much.
Donny Cates: There's so much of it.
Ryan Stegman: One of them is a mermaid and she wants human feet. She wants to see people dancing.
Donny Cates: Mmm. You're- that's a different-
Ryan Stegman: I think that's what it is. And there's maybe some big moments like, oh, I don't know- a water dragon. Maybe a character that looks like Knull-
Donny Cates: Oh.
Ryan Stegman: -who lives in the water.
Donny Cates: Oh, no.
Ryan Stegman: Noah's Ark is definitely in there. And there's two of every animal.
Donny Cates: ...So you haven't even really even read the Substack posts about the book.
