BREAKING: WEEK 6 of KLC PRESS Substack happens, is PRETTY GOOD.
Hey folks! It’s us, the Supple Boiz, and we’re here for your weekly Friday recap!
Yeah! Again!
Yet another week’s worth of extremely hilarious and wildly entertaining posts has come to pass here at KLC Press, if you can believe it! If you don’t quite remember all the incredible content we’ve put out in the past seven days, ask yourself, why? If you know you read them and just can’t recall what they were, maybe consider seeing someone about that, it really hasn’t been that long. But! If you’re just looking for a light-hearted recounting of all those posts you read and definitely remember and nothing else, then you’ve come to the right spot! Here’s a look back at this week’s posts...
We kicked the week off with our very first KLC Press employee evaluation. Up first? Well it was yours truly, the ol’ Supple Boiz. And let me tell you, what an incredible experience receiving feedback from two greats like Ryan Stegman and Donny Cates. They’re so generous and constructive. Truly, the least soul crushing and toxic bosses we have ever worked for. Donny even told us he was going to try and not scream during our evaluation- wow! What a guy! If you’re interested, we released a video of our call with the boys so you could all experience this alongside us. Cool, right?
We showed off a small art gallery's worth of upcoming Ryan Stegman covers- for series like Darth Vader, The Immortal Hulk, and Sabretooth- ahead of the first of a new type of livestream. Speaking of…
We did our first subscriber giveaway stream that saw Ryan draw a full sketch of a randomly decided character, which was then raffled off to a lucky subscriber! This week Ryan picked BATMAN (an obscure character from the world of DC Comics), which you can see below! He then did not one, not two, but FIVE rapid fire sketches that were also raffled off to a handful of lucky subscribers. Not only can you relive the magic of that stream right on our Stegman and Friends YouTube channel (kindly smash that subscribe button pls and ty), but you should also keep your eyes peeled for our next giveaway stream, which will be happening in the very near future! Be sure to subscribe to know when your chance to win might be!
And lastly, we gave fans a peek into Donny and Megan’s new series, FLOOD, by having our very own Ryan Stegman pitch the book, without looking at his computer! And he did it, he pitched a book called Flood! Be sure to watch this particular mini episode of Ryan and Donny’s Half-Assed Substack Podcast to be the first to hear all the juicy and extremely accurate details on Flood!
And that about sums it all up, folks! Thanks for joining us for another great week and we’ll see you all on Monday!
But in the meantime…

Kids Love Chains. And we love you.
thanks for all the content, is the livestream from yesterday available to watch somewhere?
I had a suggestion/hope for a future post from you both. Jeff Lemire does this thing on his substack called "From the Vault" where he talks about his origins and shows work from his past and talks about where he was at in his life during different phases of his career. I find it really interesting and would love to hear more of your back stories.
Also, itd be really interesting to see how you guys work together, ie, what the script look likes that Ryan receives and his process going forward with it. sort of a behind the scenes process of a page.
thank you both for everything you guys share
Hey, I won one of the sketches. What I should I do to receive it?
