After just under a year of teases and behind-the-scenes looks, THE SCHLUB #1 is finally in stores TODAY!
THE SCHLUB marks a turning point for KLC PRESS.
It’s our sophomore series! We couldn’t be more proud of this book. We think, between this and VANISH (and the upcoming KILL YOUR DARLINGS), readers will have a good sense of the range of stories, characters, and genres we like to explore here at KLC.
Co-Writers RYAN STEGMAN and KENNY PORTER, Artist TYRELL CANNON, Colorist MIKE SPICER, and Letter/Designer JOHN J. HILL are just getting started on this darkly funny twist on superheroes and body-swaps!
Find your LOCAL COMIC SHOP and stop in to pick up your copy of THE SCHLUB #1. And while you’re there, let them know you’d like to add the series to your pull list!
And don’t forget, FINAL ORDER CUT-OFF for ISSUE #2 is just a couple weeks away. If you want to be sure your shop will have a copy waiting for you, let them know by SEPTEMBER 4th!

And THIS SATURDAY (8/26), co-writers RYAN STEGMAN AND KENNY PORTER will be signing together at VAULT OF MIDNIGHT in DETROIT from 1pm-3pm.
THE SCHLUB #1 RELEASE STREAM TOMORROW!
To further celebrate the launch of KLC’s latest series, we’re going to be hosting our first livestream of KLC: YEAR 3!
Join Stegman, Porter, and those ol’ rascals, The Supple Boiz (aka Ethan and Griffin), TOMORROW, THURSDAY, AUGUST 24th at 7:00pm EST/4:00pm PST over on our STEGMAN AND FRIENDS YouTube Channel.
[This is your cue to SUBSCRIBE over there if you aren’t already! All KLC streams are hosted on this channel, which also boasts an extensive backlog of streams and podcasts featuring the KLC Press gang and a slew of comics guests!]
This stream will be the first of a new format we’ll be trying out. The first ~30-minutes will be a live recording of the fan-favorite podcast STEG-MAN AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS, followed by a ~30-minute live stream after show, where KLC/VIP will be able to join in on the conversation!
